International Rail Road Systems : ウィキペディア英語版 | International Rail Road Systems
|} The International Rail Road Systems was a Canadian short line railway company operating in south-eastern British Columbia, Canada. In 1998 the railroad acquired the Columbia Gardens - Fruitvale - Park Siding - Salmo, BC route from BNSF Railway; interlining with the Kettle Falls International Railway in Columbia Gardens.〔(International Rail Road Systems - IRRS Information )〕 The railway operated one EMD GP9 locomotive. In 1999, the stretch of track from Park Siding to Salmo was abandoned, and then in 2008 the stretch of track between Fruitvale and Park Siding was abandoned. Most of the traffic on this railway was for the Atco Sawmill in Fruitvale. On or about August 1, 2012, the line was sold to the Nelson & Fort Sheppard Railway Corporation, a newly formed subsidiary of shipper Atco Wood Products.〔(ASLRRA New and Changing Railroads ) (Retrieved 2013-08-29)〕 The name is derived from Daniel Corbin's original Nelson & Fort Sheppard Railway Co. that constructed the line between 1891 and 1893. ==References==
